Week 11 Part A: Marketing with Twitter, LinkedIn, and more

Social Media influencers are an interesting form of advertising for a brand or product; It is still a relatively new phenomenon, and yet highly effective. In order to keep up a good rapport with their fans and followers, influences must only promote good products lest someone get scammed and blame it on them. 

They are almost like customer reviews- Influencers have already tried out the product and liked it enough to take on the sponsorship. And because these brands give these influencers creative freedom to represent their product at will, it is usually a very honest review. 

Allowing Influencers creative freedom in these advertisements also allows potential customers to emotionally connect with your business via the influencer. These influencers don't have millions of followers for no reason, so they know how to curate the ad to actually get it to work and bring some customers to your business.

These advertisements are usually mutually beneficial. While influencers usually get a free sample in order to review the product in the first place, many promo codes are given out to specifically to that influencers following, usually under their channel or instagram name. Not only will more people be willing to buy your product due to a trustworthy source, but now it includes a discount.

The key to this is having good connections and finding the right fit with influencers while also paying attention to which platforms they use, including which strategy you choose to implement.

  1. I would have to agree that it is important to find the right fit when partnering with an influencer. I like your take on influencers and how they can benefit your brand. Honest reviews are always helpful for consumers considering the product.

  3. Hi Andrew, i like you view on social media influencers. I think they get a bad wrap the majority of the time, however, like you say if you pair with the correct influencer, then the results could be huge for your company.
